v2.5.3 Patch Notes

DemonCrawl v2.5.3 is now available on the Windows stable branch. This is a stability patch that also makes a few improvements to Arena bot behavior.

Mac and Linux builds are expected to follow within 24 hours.

Balance Changes

• (Arena) Smart bots will avoid buying Immutable if it is regarded as self-sabotage

• (Arena) Smart bots will avoid purchases that benefit opponents with certain masteries

• (Arena) The Barbed and Cinder mods are applied more accurately against bots

Bug Fixes

• Fixed typo in "Safari Zone" Summer mission

• Fixed typo in Starving Plant boss tooltip

• Fixed a crash that could occur when using a Fishing Pole on a Wishpool that was not bound to a stage cell

• Fixed Book of Faith not applying its status effect immediately after pickup

• Fixed Machine stage signs losing text after the first semicolon

• Fixed Library Card being unusable during the Arena Detour phase

• Fixed Arena clearing in-progress Quest Mode reload data

• Fixed the Dumb stage mod sometimes failing to restore your Mastery after stages with board rebuild effects

• Fixed Graveyard homeland power increases being overwritten by stale Arena lobby updates

• Fixed Larceny Arena mod rewards not reaching the thieving player in human matches

• Fixed quest-reloaded Bubbles appearing invisible and stuck in place

• Fixed Item Tree loot using the player's board zoom and an incorrect pulse origin

• Fixed an issue with Arena bot's evaluation of Cinder mod
