You can still join servers that have not been updated, but many of the changes/fixes will only work on updated servers.

Changelog:

Settlers will now despawn summons after 10 seconds of not being in combat. Changed loading Key Art back to the non-update version. Fixes Elder displaying the low quality of life notification. Fixes Scrap Incursion Factory Floor tile being marked as obtainable. Fixed Orderly trait considering output from workstations as not in correct storage. Fixed settler summons not getting removed properly when left in a level/region that is unloaded. Updated community translations <3
