Apex Legends: Latest Updates - 09/24/2026

In response to community feedback, we're making a couple of adjustments to the Street Fighter 6 collab Wildcard event.

🛠️ADJUSTED:

• Blocking with drain Fighter Gauge more quickly.

Dev note: Some feedback suggested that the Block mechanic felt overtuned and made shooting feel useless, noting that Apex is a shooter, first. This change will allow you to more reliably break a player out of blocking after doing enough damage.)

• Fighter Mode will no longer be extended by doing damage while in Fighter Mode.

Dev note: We've seen instances of players staying in Fighter Mode for tremendously long periods of time, which leads to a feeling like the entire lobby is in Fighter mode for the entire match.

• Core Wildcard is returning alongside Apex K.O.

Dev note: We see this feedback from the community often whenever we do Wildcard events. While there potential complications by allowing two instances of Wildcard to exist simultaneously, we feel this approach will be most beneficial to players when the Event varies too far from the Wildcard design ethos. We will continue to closely monitor match data and community feedback.
