Optimization & Bug Fix Update A2026.8.8.1
Good news! The army is slightly less broken.
We’ve deployed another batch of fixes and optimizations. NPCs should now spend a little more time following orders and a little less time contemplating the geometry of doorframes.
Patch notes
-
Optimized NPC navigation. The troops have received advanced training in walking from Point A to Point B.
-
Fixed a possible softlock during the doctor’s appointment. The military healthcare system may still test your patience, but it should no longer imprison you permanently.
-
Fixed a possible softlock during Office Manners training. You can now learn proper workplace etiquette without being sentenced to an eternity in the classroom.
-
Fixed lag spikes during marches caused by footstep decals. Hundreds of synchronized boots will still destroy morale, but should no longer destroy your framerate.
-
Fixed graphical issues with footstep decals. Boots now leave more believable evidence behind.
-
Added a setting to disable footstep decals. For players whose computers cannot survive the full visual impact of military footwear.
-
Added a setting to keep the canteen and equipment warehouse doors permanently unlocked. Because sometimes the greatest enemy is not war. It is opening hours.
-
Made the equipment warehouse more accessible at different times of day. You should now have fewer opportunities to stare helplessly through a locked door at the equipment you desperately need.
-
Fixed the bed-making indicator remaining on screen during morning runs. You may now suffer through cardio without being simultaneously haunted by unfinished bedding.
-
Fixed several situations where NPCs could get stuck at locked doors. They have finally discovered that repeatedly walking into a closed door is not a viable military doctrine.
More fixes are on the way.
Until then: keep marching.
