October & November 2025 Broadcast
Dear Citizens of the Suzerainverse,
Welcome to our October & November 2025 Broadcast! It’s been an absolute whirlwind since our last update, and we’ve been itching to share everything that’s been happening behind the scenes.
In this month’s Broadcast, we’ll be diving into fresh insights on our upcoming projects, exciting studio developments, and the latest happenings across the Suzerain community.
Development Update from Ata
“Hello everyone,
The team has been moving steadily on all fronts, and has been handling the mix of Project Aperture, Project Fulcrum, and console work really well. Our size is similar as before for now, this will change next year as the team scales.
Project Aperture needed some extra support on the writing side, so a part-time writer joined to help the team as narrative exploration pushes into themes and political angles we haven't tackled before. Tech is preparing our first proper playable sessions, which should give us a clearer sense of how players will engage with the new content. The portrait set, designed by Suzerain character artist Ipek Ünal, is also close to done, and seeing the characters come to life always gives the project a stronger identity. We are also finalizing our key art, which dare I say is very iconic. It helps get a more emotional connection with the project also for the team that’s not active on Aperture.
Project Fulcrum* has gone through a visual experimentation of the scene and finally settled into a style direction that feels naturally aligned with what it’s meant to be. UX and interface work has been more demanding than expected, so as we move from the rough prototype toward a more advanced prototype development with firmer design principles in place, we're also looking at bringing in some extra cavalry on the UX side. Most of Fulcrum's narrative and lore foundations are already in place, with a few areas still being expanded regarding the new characters and their roles. The new token visualization experiments pointed us toward several promising directions and what not to make.
On the tooling side, we've continued improving our internal tech stack. Localization files are being unified under the hood so future translations can be organized and managed cleanly. Our scene testing tool has also taken a leap, now showing portraits, characters, and a panel layout close to how it would look in Suzerain, without launching the Unity game engine, which makes reviewing scenes far easier for everyone across writing, design, and QA. Liveops wise, tech and qa have also stayed busy polishing and hot fixing the console versions to get them into the best shape possible. We also began recording further controller and interaction improvements.”
Torpor Games Studio News
“We closed our minority seed investment round, and this has a very real impact on the studio's future. Without it, we would have been entering next year with significant risk. A couple of bad breaks could have put Torpor in a difficult position. This round gives us stability, room to plan properly, and the ability to build the next phase of our work without gambling on luck that will succeed once more.
The funding enables The Conformist to move into full production in the future. It supports further expansion of the Suzerain universe through new DLCs like Project Aperture and Project Vanguard, and it enables Project Fulcrum to grow as its own standalone title. Equally important, we kept majority control. We had around six offers that looked more advanced from the outside, but they would have handed too much operational or creative control to outside parties. Across the last 2.5 years, we spoke with over 200 investors and publishers and turned down everything that didn't respect our process and our autonomy. The three partners we chose aligned with our vision from the start and never pushed to reshape the studio or the work. We felt heard, seen, respected.
This is a new beginning. We are ready.”

A Symphony for Suzerain
We had the incredible opportunity to visit the legendary Babelsberg Film Studios in Potsdam and witness a truly once-in-a-lifetime event: the renowned Filmorchester Babelsberg recording full orchestral versions of both the Suzerain and Rizia themes. It was awe-inspiring to see their professionalism and precision in capturing the emotion and grandeur of the music firsthand.
Even more special, the recording was livestreamed, allowing Torpor Games’ composer and sound designer, James Spence, to join in real-time all the way from Japan.
We’ll be sharing a deeper look at the process soon, so keep your eyes and ears open!

Suzerain & Rizia Hit Consoles
After rolling out a major content update for Nintendo Switch, we were excited to see Suzerain and the Kingdom of Rizia DLC to officially launch on Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
It was a big moment for us! Our mission had always been to bring the Suzerain Universe to as many players as possible. With this launch, even more players were able to step into a world of political intrigue, tough choices, and power struggles.
This console release delivered the complete, fully refined Suzerain experience, packed with all the updates, improvements, and content that PC, mobile, and Switch players had already been enjoying.

Torpor Tuesdays & Our Final 2025 Town Hall
We’ve been wanting to connect more closely with the Suzerain Universe community on Discord. While we’re always present in the background, reading your thoughts, taking in your feedback, and keeping a pulse on the conversations, we haven’t been as active in the chat as we’d like. Balancing development and discussion isn’t always easy, but we’re trying to step things up.
That’s why we’re introduced Torpor Tuesdays on Discord! It’s a chance to hang out, share what we’re working on, and chat with everyone for 30 minutes.
Our next Torpor Tuesday kicks off on Tuesday 16th November at 5PM CET / 4PM GMT / 11AM EST.
But that’s not all! We’re also hosting our final Town Hall Livestream of 2025 on Thursday 18th November at 5PM CET / 4PM GMT / 11AM EST. You won’t want to miss it.
