EA1.94 Update: Desktop Pet Mode V0.1 Test Version Is Here!

Hello, awesome Rebels! We wanted to bring you a little surprise during the summer holiday——【Desktop Pet Mode】is here!

This is still the V0.1 test version, so the features are fairly basic for now, but you can already bring your favorite girls from REBELLION GODSOUL onto your desktop!

【BUG FIXES】

1. Fixed an issue related to the 【Cyber Harem King】 achievement.

After Alice's story update, the previous method used to track this achievement changed. We have now readjusted and fixed it.

2. Fixed an issue where the card collection counter in the upper-left corner would always show one card missing.

3. Fixed an issue where Fullscreen / Windowed Mode settings were not remembered correctly.

4. Fixed visual tearing issues affecting material effects in some scenes.

【Desktop Pet Mode V0.1】

Desktop Pet Mode currently supports:

1. Animated GodSoul and Phantom character illustrations can appear directly on your desktop, with background click-through support so they won't interfere with your work.

2. If you own the corresponding skin DLC, you can also view and use those skin illustrations in Desktop Pet Mode.

3. You can freely drag your desktop pet and reposition it anywhere within the desktop area.

4. You can enlarge or shrink your desktop pet.

5. You can switch between character skins and facial expressions.

Voice features are not supported yet. We may gradually add voice functionality in future versions (excluding collaboration characters).

To minimize performance usage, the desktop pet currently runs inside a 【non-fullscreen transparent window】.

If you need to adjust the desktop pet's active area, you can enable 【Show Border】 and manually resize the window boundaries.

Desktop Pet Mode is currently a V0.1 test feature. It is also a small free bonus made by XuMiao in spare time while other parts of the game are being developed, so this first version may still contain some bugs and unfinished features. Thank you for your understanding!

【How Do I Unlock Desktop Pet Characters?】

Character unlocks in Desktop Pet Mode are synchronized based on the 【highest historical unlock progress】 recorded across your main-story save files.

After updating to version 1.94, please launch the main game once and load the save file with the highest number of unlocked Phantoms. Then launch Desktop Pet Mode again, and you will be able to see the Phantom and GodSoul characters you have unlocked in your main-story save.

Also, if progressing through the main story feels a little tiring and you just want some desktop companions, that's totally fine too!

The three romanceable heroines Xiaoshen, Lingxi, and Xingmeng are unlocked by default.

While Desktop Pet Mode is active, every 1 hour of accumulated companionship will unlock one additional Phantom character.

So even if you don't progress through the main story for now, you can gradually bring all your favorite girls onto your desktop!

【Recent Development Progress】

The roguelike mode is still in development. Progress has indeed been a little slower than we originally expected, and we sincerely apologize for the delay.

Because the game's existing core programming framework is relatively old, many features have turned out to be more complicated to implement than expected. The roguelike mode still requires further development by our lead programmer and other programmers on the team.

The scope of this roguelike mode has actually grown to the point where it feels almost like we're making half of a new game. In addition to new gameplay and systems, we also plan to release a batch of new skins alongside it. Some skins will also be available to unlock for free through repeated gameplay.

As for the main story, the script has currently been written through Chapter 7.

However, the revamped Chapters 2–5 are still in production, including their presentation and art assets, so the next major main-story update may still be a few months away.
