Fireside Chat: The Adventure Begins

Hey there Hikers! 

It’s the first Fireside Chat since Early Access release! It’s been a wild time but we’re as motivated as ever.

Over the past week, we’ve seen and continue to keep up with all your feedback. When we said your feedback is vital to us, we meant it! Early Access, for us, is not the end. It’s simply a checkpoint in development. We’ve learned and continue to learn so much as we read your reviews, reports, and messages in Discord.

As many of you may have noticed, we’ve put out a patch every day this week! We know that player trust is something earned and we intend to do that! With the way Early Access has evolved over the years in games, we want to assure you that this is not a release and leave until 1.0 launch approach for us. We are continuing with frequent patches (after this week, we are aiming for 1-2 patches/week) in addition to our large content updates mentioned in our Road Map. Optimization remains our TOP priority, but we’ve also learned so much about the other ways in which we can improve the player experience so please keep up the feedback! :) 

As we’ve said many times before, fun is our top priority. We don’t just want to get a game out, we want to get a *fun *game out! Development throughout Early Access is our time to show you we mean this and we’ll continue listening and evolving to achieve that!
