Starship Troopers: Extermination Development Update (August 2026)

Hey Troopers!

I wanted to take a few moments to talk about the most recent update to our roadmap and, more importantly, reflect on just how much work has gone into Starship Troopers: Extermination since the game launched.

Over the past two years, we’ve regularly updated and expanded the game, and we’re now on the eve of releasing Update 12 since our official launch. That’s an incredible amount of content and improvements: bug fixes, optimizations, quality-of-life improvements, new weapons, new enemy Bugs, new missions, and new maps.

When you take a step back and look at everything the team has accomplished, it’s pretty incredible to see.

But enough reflecting on the past, let’s look toward the future!

Update 12 - August 

With Update 12, we bring the fight to X-11. We’ve nearly doubled the size of the map, opening up a whole new set of build locations, combat areas, and places to take on missions.

The Galactic Front also returns, bringing new Perks and, of course, the Morita 3.

We’ve packed as many bug fixes, optimizations, and quality-of-life improvements into Update 12 as we could, and we’re incredibly excited for everyone to get their hands on it this August.

Update 13 - October

Update 13 arrives in October, and we’ll be celebrating our anniversary with something particularly nasty: the arrival of the Arachnid aerial menace, the Hopper Bug.

Update 13 will also introduce Camp Rasczak, an expanded and revamped Building Tutorial. We’re going well beyond simply teaching you how to build,  We’ll have plenty more to share about all of this as we get closer to the update.

Update 14 - December

Update 14 arrives by mid December and it brings a New Galactic Front, New Daily Missions, New DSV Service records, Optimizations and more…

Looking Beyond

In November we’ll begin sharing some of our early plans for 2027. We will not get too specific but we are all about serious teasing around here.

There’s still a lot more Troopers to come, and we’re incredibly excited about where we’re taking the game.
