RealFlight Trainer Edition Update: 1.00.034 is now live

RealFlight Trainer Edition version 1.00.034 is now available as a free release for all RFTE and RFTE: Trial Version users! This update adds support for the Spektrum MLP6DSM via direct USB connection.

Using the MLP6DSM wirelessly with a WS1000/WS2000 dongle was already supported through the “Spektrum Receiver (MLP6DSM)” controller profile. Now, connecting the MLP6DSM via its USB port is also supported natively. RealFlight recognizes the radio and automatically selects the new “Spektrum MLP6DSM (Wired USB)” controller profile for it.

If you have already run with your MLP6DSM connected through USB in an earlier version of Trainer Edition, the autodetection will not happen. There are two ways to start using the new profile:

1. Select Simulation -> Select Controller…, expand the “Profile” dropdown control, and manually select the new controller profile.

2. Select Help -> Reset To Defaults… This will reset RealFlight and the next time you run it will automatically select the new profile. Note that you will lose any and all other settings changes you have made.

How to Get It Steam will detect the new version and automatically update RealFlight when it thinks your computer is not very busy. You can trigger the update manually if desired by completely restarting Steam. Right-click the Steam icon in your system tray and select Exit. Once everything closes, run Steam again, and the update should complete.
