The Little Things
No update would be complete without all the minor tweaks and changes that go into polishing and balancing a game. Here's a few highlights...
-
The Hive Zone and Zen Zone have been spruced up with some new content.
-
Several older monsters have been buffed or tweaked so they're more fun to play as.
-
The level generator has been upgraded with some new tricks and patterns.
-
New UI markers below the player help you see when skills are off-cooldown.
Developer's Note
This update adds a bunch of new content, bringing the number of zones up to 8 (out of the planned 12). It feels great to watch the overworld map expand like this. I've also been listening to a lot of player feedback over on the Discord server. With your help, I've been sprucing up the older zones and monsters. And I've paid special attention to the game's overall difficulty curves, to ease players from playful exploration into frantic battles as each run develops. As always, your feedback is a central part of Patch Quest development. So feel free to drop your thoughts at discord.gg/patchquest
