Hope I fixed all the issues with this update. Your painted mechs are stored in the common save folder. C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Local\Mech_Engineer

Painting menu. Middle mouse button will copy the color under the cursor. Right mouse button erases. Left mouse button paints. M for mirror mode. Diskette icon saves your painting.
