A Quick Update from the Development Team

After reviewing the feedback from our Closed Beta tests, we've decided to move the release date of Black Gold: Oil Drilling Simulator** to September 10th, 2026.**

We want to use this extra time to polish the game, improve the overall experience, and fix as many issues as possible before launch. Your feedback has been incredibly valuable, and we'd rather take the time to get things right than release the game before it's ready. Thank you for your patience, support, and honest feedback. 🛠️🛢️

First, a huge thank you to everyone who took part in our Closed Beta and shared their feedback with us. Your reports, suggestions, and time spent playing the game have helped us enormously. A special thank you to all of our selected testers for sticking with us and helping us make Black Gold better.

[/carousel] We've been listening carefully to your feedback, and we've made some pretty big changes to the game. We completely rebuilt the progression system to make the journey from a small operation to a serious oil business feel more rewarding. We've also been working heavily on balancing the game, improving the overall pacing, and, most importantly, making the moment-to-moment gameplay more satisfying and fun.

We've also completely refreshed the voice-overs. We've reworked existing lines and added a lot of brand-new voice-over content to bring more life and character to the world of Black Gold. We've fixed a lot of smaller issues along the way too. Bugs, annoying little problems, inconsistencies, and other things that could get in the way of enjoying the game. There's still work ahead, but the game is in a much better place than it was before the Closed Beta.

Here is what we've been working on lately.

Let's start with the lighting. The old system was a bit flat. It didn't really capture the feeling of a dirty, busy oil field in the early 1900s. So we tore it down and started over. Now, the morning sun actually feels alive as it hits your equipment. Shadows stretch properly across the oil rigs, and when night falls, lanterns and work lights completely change the atmosphere. It creates the right mood as you watch your workers drill, operate machinery, and extract crude oil.

Next is the new UI. Here's the truth: the old interface was annoying. We fixed that. The new UI is cleaner, easier to understand, and stays out of your way. We've simplified the icons, improved the layout, and made the information easier to find when you need it. You should spend less time fighting menus and more time building your oil empire.
