v4.11 Controller + Quality of Life

Goose Goose Duck v4.11 is here, bringing us closer to Steam Deck verification alongside additional quality of life improvements, bug fixes, optimizations, and preparations for what's coming next.

🎮 Controller Support Updates

Our ongoing controller support overhaul is nearing completion!

We've continued our full gameplay audit focused on improving accessibility and controller usability throughout the game, while also bringing Goose Goose Duck closer to Steam Deck verification.

At this stage, we're primarily focused on the remaining adjustments and polish needed to meet the requirements for verification. Beyond Steam Deck, these improvements help create a more consistent and accessible controller experience throughout the game.

🎃 Preparing for Upcoming Events

This update also includes preparations for upcoming events and content.

With that in mind, we wanted to clarify something about how events work in Goose Goose Duck.

There will not always be an active event.

Events will come and go throughout the year, and there may be periods between them where no event is running. Their timing depends on a variety of factors, including real world holidays, collaborations, development schedules, and alignment with game updates. Some events may require a game update to launch, while others may not. Regardless, everything needs to be ready and properly aligned before an event can begin.

We know the question is often "When?", and our answer has always been the same:

As soon as it's ready.

Even when there isn't an event running, that doesn't mean nothing is happening behind the scenes. The team is always working on different areas of Goose Goose Duck, whether that's new content, events, collaborations, improving security and fair play, fixing bugs, optimizing the game, or working on larger improvements like our ongoing controller and Steam Deck support.

We greatly appreciate the patience and understanding that our community continues to show us. We know you're always excited to see what's coming next, and we're just as excited to share it with you when it's ready.
