Version 0.902

This update includes improvements to the movement controls that should make farming smoother. Arrow keys can now be used in tile mode to select adjacent tiles. There's also a new staircase by the Shard Crystal to make it more convenient to reach, and additional bridges and steps added to later Homestead expansions for better navigation.

Players can now sign up for the Spellfarers newsletter in-game to receive the latest news and other goodies, as well as a free 100 Shard bonus!

Gameplay Updates

• Updated controls for the player character:

  • The avatar will always turn to the input direction. This should provide better precision when farming.

  • Increased responsiveness of movement controls.

  • The arrow keys on keyboard can be used to select specific tiles when in Tile Mode (same behaviour as the directional pad on controller). As before, they can be used to move the avatar normally outside of Tile Mode.

• New structures to help you get around town and the Homestead:

  • Added additional bridge crossings to the Homestead when land expansions are unlocked

  • Added an additional set of steps to the Homestead for later expansions

  • Added stairs by the Sleepy Sailor Bait Shop that lead to the Shard Crystal

• Players can now sign up for the Spellfarers newsletter in the Accounts menu.

  • Signing up for the newsletter will grant a 100 Shard bonus

• Updated localization files

Visual Updates

• Only resolutions with aspect ratios of 16:9 or 16:10 will be available options to select

• Updated particle effects for seasonal transitions

• Updated set dressing and bushes

• Updated Profile background

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a number of graphical and lighting issues (corn is no longer invisible)

• Fixed a dialog bug that would result in incorrect or repeating lines when progressing a daily quest

• Lighting fix for Mill chicken coop

• Fixed the Axe vanishing to incorrect positions while on the Homestead

• Fixed saplings changing colour as the camera angle is changed

• Fix for missing butterflies
