New Game+ is now available!

It's finally there! Many of you requested a New Game+ mode, and it's now finally here. The latest patch adds New Game+ to Mining Mechs and in this post I'll talk more about what that includes.

What is New Game+?

So what is it? New Game+ is available after you finish the game. By finishing the storyline you are awarded 1 token, which will grant you a bonus for your next run. Tokens stay with you forever. Any new game you start - whether through New Game+ or by actually starting a new save file, you'll still keep your tokens. You'll even keep them when joining someone elses multiplayer game!

How to start a New Game+

Before I get into more details about the bonus stats of the tokens, let's first explain how to start a New Game+. When completing the base game an airship will now come down and float right above the quest giver. Get on board to interact with it and open the New Game+ menu. This menu will explain what starting a New Game+ means: you will lose all player progression and it will reset your map, but you will be able to play a new round with the token bonus.

But what does a token do? Each token adds the following bonus for your next run:

• +$1000 starting cash

• +1 mech upgrade point

• +25% pump revenue

• +10 starting confetti

I guess the starting cash bonus speaks for itsself; you get an extra $1000 bonus cash for each token you own. Remember though - tokens stack - so 10 tokens means 10k extra starting cash!

Each token also awards you with an extra mech upgrade point. This upgrade point can be added to every mech you own, meaning 1 single token can add an upgrade point to all mechs you own at the same time. You can spend and deduct upgrade points like any other upgrade point. The token bonus also doesn't affect your level, meaning 10 tokens will grant you +10 upgrade points, but your mech will still be level 1 and upgrading it will still be cheap!

Next, the pump revenue is boosted by 25% for each token and just as with the other bonuses this one stacks as well. Connecting mines is now more rewarding than ever!

Lastly and most importantly; +10 starting confetti for each token. Obviously the use of confetti to celebrate wins in life is a crucial aspect of mining. Soon you'll never have to buy confetti again and you'll have enough confetti to celebrate even the smallest wins! 🎉

New Map

Many players have been asking me for more content and to extend the map. While New Game+ adds replayability to the base game, I also totally understand you might not want to grind the same map multiple times. Luckily, from tomorrow the airship will not only be able to get you started with a New Game+, but it will also transport you to new DLC maps! The first map is set in the arctics. It's the same size as the original map and features a brand new storyline, new mechs, new resources and of course it will grant tokens upon completion as well!
