Update! Hotfix #19 - Steam Cloud Saves, Bandits DLC, Mining Contest and more!

Hello Prospectors!

We've just released another update for Alaska Gold Fever, bringing several improvements and quality-of-life features requested by the community.

Patch Notes for version: 2026.05.29.01

-Added Steam Cloud support for all players, allowing save files to be synchronized between devices. -Fixed a new UI element displaying information about active community mining contest. (read more about contest rules below) -Added the ability to collect water directly from rivers. (needs an empty bootle) -Some small optimization improvements to increase overall performance and stability.

Thank you for your continued feedback and support. More updates are on the way! We are currently working on fixes to hired miners.

You can also use our in game tool for bug reporting: just press F5 and fill a report - we will get it right away! ;)

NEW MINING CONTEST

Welcome to Contest Mode - created for prospectors who are bold, resilient, and relentless!

Players from around the world can now compete in a special Mining Contest featuring global leaderboards and exclusive rewards! Contest will be held for 2 weeks.

Mining Contest can be selected directly from the main game menu, where players will gain access to a special dedicated map designed specifically for the competition.

Compete against other players in two categories: -In “Best Time”, your objective is to find and open the treasure chest hidden at the end of the mine as quickly as possible. -In “Most Gold”, players compete to extract and process all the gold from the mine faster than everyone else. Every participant starts with the same set of tools, but your strategy, upgrade order, and efficiency will determine who becomes the top prospector.

Exclusive rewards await the best 10 players in every category: unique in-game tools skins, including custom pickaxe designs, allowing you to personalize your gear!

Step into the mine, compete with players worldwide, and see if you can make it to the top of the leaderboard! (you must update your game to be able to enter contest mode)
