Brutal Orchestra Celebrates the Death of Hieronymus Bosch!

510 years ago today, a funeral mass for Hieronymus Bosch was held at Saint John’s Church in ’s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands. Much of Bosch’s life has been lost to history, but the date of his funeral survives.

To celebrate his life and legacy we are putting Brutal Orchestra on sale for 50% off on August 9th and 10th!

Hieronymus Bosch’s Brutal Orchestra is a deeply personal reflection on and analysis of the themes and philosophy of Bosch’s artwork. In many ways, Bosch’s work feels more modern now than it did in his own day.

As long as there is the dance of chaos and beauty in the world, there will be those who try to make sense of it and those who cannot bear to look. To those who crave meaning in madness, the artwork of Bosch will always call with howling images and frightening prognostications about the nature of man.

Below is my personal favourite interactive archive of his artwork:

May he live again and die once more with everyone who discovers him.
