Windblown | "Hunters Gonna Hunt" Update Open Beta!

Hey there Leapers!

It's been a while, but the team have been cooking! 👀

We've just deployed a brand new build to our Open Beta Branch, which introduces a bunch of new stuff, including a new 'hunting' mechanic.

Aptly so, this update is called...

'Hunters Gonna Hunt'

Now, we won't spoil too much about what's coming in the patch, but want to cover the top line info so you know what you'll be sinking your teeth in!

• Meta Economy Overhaul (Hunting): Completely reworked progression with clearer objectives, rebalanced costs, better exploration incentives for each Biome, and dedicated loot pools for every difficulty level.

• 5 New Trinkets: New Pet companions and versatile combat mechanics!

• 30 new Gifts: Pet and Ethereal Blade upgrades, Dash trails and muuuuuuuch more!

• Yua's Support: Added a new togglable accessibility feature for solo play. Reduces damage taken (strengthens with deaths, weakens with wins). Disabled in Co-op.

• Loyalty Program: Added a new step to allow for multiple rare affixes on items.

• Enemies: Face new Obsidian variants in higher difficulty modes. All Obsidian enemies now feature a quick transformation animation and visual effects (don't interrupt them while they're powering up, that's just good etiquette).

• Backpack: Apples can now be safely stored inside the Backpack! (make sure you cook them first!)

• Steam Cloud: Full Steam Cloud save synchronization is now supported!

• Spanish LATAM localization

Plus loads more of smaller tweaks, changes, and improvements!

The team have had a blast bringing this update to life, and hope you'll enjoy diving back into the biomes in search of materials!

How to access the beta

• Go to your Steam game library.

• Right click on Windblown and click "properties".

• Select the tab "Betas".

• In the first dropdown box select "public_beta"

• Click close and wait for the update to finish downloading.

🚨Remember - This is a BETA version of the game, meaning you may encounter bugs. Make sure to duplicate your save before jumping in. That way you can revert back to the Default Branch whenever you'd like without locking yourself to the new version before its release🚨
