State of the game

Hey guys! Nothing that I'll write here is in any way, shape or form supposed to be an excuse for the state the game is in right now. I just want to give you a bit of context and clarification so that you know what to expect.

I've been doing my best to read all the discussions in the steam forums, respond to all messages on Discord and go through the bugs, but frankly - this is a bit overwhelming for just one person. I really didn't expect so many people to play it and I did not expect there were so many bugs still in there. The game has been playtested by multiple people before release and a ton of bugs have been found and fixed. It's clear it's not been enough.

The game was made mostly by one person, with help of some artists, a composer and a programmer to tackle harder systemic stuff. For the sake of bugfixing, 95% of the bugs are something only one person can fix. While I'm trying to be as responsive to bugs as I possibly can, I just have to acknowledge that realistically, 1-2h a day is all I can manage to put into it, with work, small baby and everything else eating up most of the day. But I will be putting in that time and I will be going through these bugs and fixing them as fast as possible - that usually means a couple (3-7) bugs a day. And eventually, the game will become more stable.

I have been helping people who contacted me on Discord get un-softlocked, but wherever possible and wherever there's a bug that seems to be affecting more people, I will now strive to find more global solution - in some cases I believe it's possible to fix the save states for more people passively (they'll just have to load the save). If that's gonna be the case, I'll inform about it in the patch notes.

So yeah - if you're gonna write a negative review because you dislike the game, go for it. But please don't call the game a cash grab or abandoned by the devs when the dev is pushing fixes every day and has literally decided to give up hours of his sleep for the next few weeks just to find time to fix more bugs for a bunch of pretty cool people actually enjoying the game (to the dev's surprise, because the game was supposed to be annoying beyond redemption :P)
