K/DA hits the Rift

In 2019, we were graced with the virtual girl group K/DA from Riot Games that would inspire the world with their sound. They would be an inspiration for ANOTHER virtual girl group that would take the world by storm – well, ahem, yes, there’s obviously HUNTR/X from K-Pop Demon Hunters, but today, I’m actually talking about…

That’s right! You’ve heard of K-Pop, but have you ever heard of “Crypt-Pop”? These lovely ladies from Rift of the NecroDancer have formed their very own Crypt-Pop group, ZONE*5, and they’re here to WOW you with their moves in our newest collaboration with Riot Games and K/DA.

Heat the Beat

This Steam Summer Sale (June 25th - July 9th), you can Heat the Beat in Rift! A new item will unlock each day for the next five days, and all you gotta do to earn them is attempt the Daily Challenge.

🆕 New Content and Features

• **Added **some special unlockable DLC profile items with our K/DA collaboration!

  • In addition to the free ZONE*5 Portrait items you receive when purchasing a DLC, we've also added some new Badges and a Frame to this release (just like OST Vol. 2 before it)

  • Once you've purchased the music pack, you can then work towards unlocking these special items

  • The new items available are:

    • ZONE*5 Cadence badge

      • ZONE*5 Dove badge

      • ZONE*5 Merlin badge

      • ZONE*5 Nocturna badge

      • ZONE*5 Suzu badge

      • Light Stick badge

      • Photo Card frame

• Added profile items for the Heat the Beat 2026 Challenge

  • Starting today (July 25th, 2026), every day you attempt the Daily Challenge, you'll unlock a new summer-themed profile item

    • You'll still get the item even if you don't win the Daily Challenge

  • Fear not - even if you don't try the Daily Challenge until next week or later, you'll still unlock these items for use (there's no time limit to unlock them!)

• **Added **a sticker to any unredeemed Free tracks in Track Select

  • A number of our old DLC releases included free songs alongside the full music pack

  • Now, unredeemed free content has a big Free sticker, to make sure you never miss out!

🔁 Changes

• **Changed **the appearance of our main menu to celebrate Heat the Beat 2026!

• **Changed **the folder sorting for DLC promo items

  • In all sort methods except Default, these items now sort into their own folder at the bottom of the list

⚒️ Fixes

• **Fixed **duplicate folders for "Danny Baranowsky" when sorting by Artist 

  • This issue persists for Custom Music folders where the metadata may have different spellings depending on charter (will require another fix)

• **Fixed **full combo badge showing up incorrectly on leaderboards
