9 Days Patch 1.43 - Colour Customisation, and the future!

9 Days Patch 1.43

Patch 1.43 introduces a new Colour Customisation system, improvements to Sandbox, transformation balance changes, Prime Armour buffs and new visual effects.

New Colour Customisation

A new Colour Customisation Menu is now available in the All Dimensional Realm.

Once you have defeated All Dimensional at 100% at least once, you will unlock the ability to customise the colours of several transformations and effects.

You can customise:

• Omni Form Colour

• Energy Colour

• Sincerus Aura Colour

• Sincerus Body Colour

These colours are not limited to presets. You can use a full colour wheel to choose the exact colour you want.

The new Colour Customiser can be found in the same area where you select your other Sincerus Colours.

This should give players much more freedom to personalise the appearance of their warrior and transformations.

Sandbox Update

Sandbox has received several improvements.

• Sincerus is now available in Sandbox.

• All maps are now available for Fast Travel from the beginning of Sandbox.

This should make Sandbox much easier to use for experimenting with builds, transformations and different areas of the game.

Omni Omen Improvements

Omni Omen was not fully updated alongside the recent transformation reworks.

• Omni Omen now correctly scales with the Omni Points system.

• Investing further into Omni Points will now properly increase the strength of Omni Omen.

Getting Omni Omen could also sometimes be glitchy when progressing to the next floor.

• You will now receive Omni Omen immediately after defeating the required warriors.

Assimilate Prime Buff

• Assimilate Prime Armour has been buffed for the Absorb Barrier transformation.

• Assimilate Infusor Prime Armour has also been buffed for Absorb Barrier.

These changes should make both Prime Armours more effective for players building heavily around Absorb Barrier.

Wrath Buff

Wrath has received an overall buff.

• Wrathpoints now take longer to drain.

• Wrathpoints now have a greater impact on damage.

• Prime Armours that utilise Wrath have been buffed.

These changes should make investing heavily into Wrath a much stronger progression path.

Energy Bomb VFX

• Energy Bomb now has new visual effects when used for landscape destruction.

This should make the destruction caused by Energy Bomb feel significantly more impactful.

The Future

Just over a month ago now I got pretty sick and I wasn't able to work on the game as much. But in that time I was able to do other things like think about where I want to go next. I am excited to start looking at new projects, this was my first game and I have learnt so much from this experience. I want to bring all that knowledge into a new project and with all the advancements in game engines over the years I can start to make my visions come true.

For those who don't know, 9 Days was built on Unreal Engine 4 in 2021 and then ported to vanilla Unreal Engine 5. While vanilla UE5 was definitely an upgrade, there were massive limitations on what I could do because of the UE4 port. Starting a new project in the latest version of UE5 gives me a lot more opportunity to create things that would be so difficult to do now.

While I was sick I started doing a lot of writing. Writing a new story for a sequel to 9 Days. There is a lot of story in this universe left to discover and I do want to continue building this world. My development will start to shift into the sequel of 9 Days slowly, I will still maintain updates for this version of 9 Days while developing the sequel.
