MELIGO Creator v1.2.12 Update Notes
Hello, this is the MELIGO team. The MELIGO Creator v1.2.12 update was released on October 20, 2026.
New Features
-
Face Shading Correction Corrects NiloToon characters whose face looks too bright or whose shadows look unnatural.
- NiloToon Settings - Face Shading Correction (when SDF is not used)
You can adjust the shadow color and the face shading shape.
- Shadow color: Character Setting / Default Setting / Custom
- Face shading shape: closer to 0 is flatter, closer to 1 is rounder
Not applied to characters whose NiloToon Shadow Mode is lilToon.
- Drag to Adjust Number Values Drag the name of a number field left or right in the settings to change its value. The light IN/OUT angles and the X/Y/Z of the position, rotation and scale fields at the top can also be adjusted by dragging.
Changes
-
Post-Processing Option for Background Transparency A 'Post-Processing' option has been added to background transparency.
- Options - Spout2 Capture - Post-Processing
On (default): Outputs with post-processing, as before. Off: Outputs without post-processing to reduce the graphics load. Special lights are not included in the output.
Improvements
-
Character Movement When moving a character, the move marker and the character now move together, and the character stops right where you release the mouse.
-
Asset Download Improvements When an asset download stalls, it now resumes from where it stopped instead of starting over. Large files are downloaded in parallel parts for faster downloads.
Bug Fixes
-
Frame Drops During Long Sessions Fixed an issue where the frame rate gradually dropped during long use. Fixed an issue where changing the background after long use occasionally failed to load it.
-
Missing Prop Effects in Background Transparency Fixed an issue where effects created by a prop attached to the character did not appear in the background transparency output.
Version Changes
-
NiloToon Version The NiloToon version used in MELIGO has been changed from 0.17.12 to 0.17.16. Some effects that did not work correctly in the previous version now work as intended in 0.17.16, so the same character may look different than before.
- The character average shadow is now applied correctly, so characters may look darker than before.
-
If Your Character Looks Darker Than Before Lowering the average shadow strength brings the brightness close to before (e.g. 1.00 → 0.88).
- Background - Post Process - NiloToonShadowControlVolume - charAverageShadowStrength
The right value may vary depending on the background and character.
