Hardcore Mode becomes available after completing the main story.

Each level in Hardcore Mode provides completely new encounters with rearranged enemies, platforming objects, killing objects, and more!

You will need to think creatively if you wish to overcome all of the new enemies and obstacles in Hardcore Mode. Furthermore, enemies from later in the normal campaign will appear much earlier in Hardcore Mode.
