Ep.12 Ch.1: Preview

Hey guys!

I’m gradually moving through Emma’s first scene, and so far everything is going smoothly without any major problems. The scene takes place both in the real world and inside the memory-table simulation Emma creates, so the main challenge right now is keeping both parts consistent with each other.

The idea I had while writing this scene was to build it around a repeating cycle. Emma starts the simulation, MC enters it but messes it up making Emma to look for a new solution.

So basically, the structure looks like this:

Real world → Emma starts the simulation → MC tries it → something goes wrong → MC drops out → Emma suggests a new approach → simulation starts again.

And this cycle repeats several times until they finally get everything right.

What makes it fun is that every new attempt becomes a little more intense than the previous one. Emma keeps getting more creative with her solutions, MC gets increasingly frustrated with the whole process, and that gives them plenty of room for fun dialogue and some increasingly... unconventional experiments. We’re playing an AVN here after all, right? ;-p

There’s another important layer to the scene too. The focus of the experiment this time isn’t just some memory. Emma needs MC to work with something, or rather someone, he genuinely values a lot. And obviously, it doesn’t take him long to think of Megan and Sarah.

So in practice, the scene constantly jumps between two sides of the experiment. In the real world, we have MC and Emma trying to make everything work. Inside the simulation, we have MC interacting with Megan and Sarah as each new iteration changes and develops. I’m also thinking about adding a few split-screen moments where you can see what’s happening in both realities at the same time.

In short, I think this will be the most detailed memory experiment I’ve shown in the game so far. It probably sounds a little complicated when described like this, but during gameplay the structure should be very easy to follow because every attempt follows the same recognizable pattern.

I’ve included several sneak peeks with Emma, a look at how the simulation itself appears, and Megan and Sarah’s outfits during the first iterations.

So far, the opening and dialogue-heavy parts of the scene are done. This week I’m moving on to the animations, and once the whole experiment is finished, I’ll jump straight into the second Emma-MC scene.

That’s it for now, guys. Stay tuned, I’ll talk to you soon!
