We have been working intensely behind the scenes to bring you something that has been requested for a long time. Every day we push forward, listening carefully to feedback, analyzing frustration points, and asking ourselves how we can make the experience smoother without losing the core survival identity of Plains of Pain.

Vehicle related edge cases have always been one of the most sensitive topics. Losing track of a vehicle. Not remembering where it was parked. Rare destruction scenarios. These situations can break immersion and create unnecessary frustration.

Today we are proud to release a system that directly addresses this.

Main Highlight

Vehicle Manager

The new Vehicle Manager brings a completely new level of control over your owned vehicles.

You can now find it in your Journal, in a new section called Vehicles.

From there, you can manage every vehicle you own in one clear and organized list.

What You Can Do

Locate Your Vehicles

You can now locate any owned vehicle directly from the list. The vehicle can be shown on the map or as a POI marker in the game view.

No more frustration when you forget where you parked it.

Recover Destroyed Vehicles

If a vehicle is destroyed by crashing into obstacles, enemy vehicles, or being shot down, a Recover button will appear next to that vehicle inside the Vehicles section.

By pressing Recover, you can place a special blueprint of that vehicle near your character and respawn it with:

• All installed upgrades

• All trunk inventory

This ensures your progress is preserved and your effort is respected.

To prevent exploits, especially on online servers, there is a 5 minute recovery cooldown after each recovery.

Rename Your Vehicles

You can now rename your vehicles directly in the Vehicles list by simply clicking on the vehicle name.

Make your machines truly yours.

How Vehicle Ownership Works

Building Vehicles

When constructing a vehicle from a blueprint, the player who originally placed the construction becomes the owner. The vehicle will automatically appear in their Vehicle Manager list.

Finding Vehicles in the Wasteland

If you discover a vehicle in the wasteland, you must insure it using an Insurance Connector.

Only insured vehicles:

• Can be recovered if destroyed

• Can be located through the Vehicle Manager

If a vehicle is not insured, it will not appear in your list and cannot be recovered.

Vehicle Locking

Locking is no longer required to become the vehicle owner. Locking is now purely optional and exists only for your own access control preferences.

What Is Next

Now that Vehicle Manager is live, we are moving forward with the next big step.

Our focus shifts to the upcoming Custom World Settings and Custom Difficulty update, where players will gain deeper control over how their wasteland behaves.

After that, we will continue with the development of the Creative Mode and Dev Tools, giving builders and experimenters even more freedom to shape and test their ideas.

Step by step, we are building a more flexible and player driven Plains of Pain.
