Locations and Missions
- A bug that caused aircraft carriers to disappear in some missions at the start of the mission if there were 5 or less players in a team, causing aircraft to spawn in the water has been fixed. (** Report **).
Damage Model
-
A bug that caused the the proximity fuze to work incorrectly during missile-on-missile intercepts has been fixed: surface-to-air and air-to-air missiles were missing rapidly approaching enemy missiles, detonating slightly before the point of closest approach. Missile interactions with aircraft and ground vehicles remain unchanged.
-
The proximity fuze on anti-radiation missiles no longer triggers on enemy projectiles or missiles, including surface-to-air missiles, launched to intercept them. Previously, this caused premature detonation before the missile reached the target radar.
Nuclear Escalation
-
A bug that caused the main-caliber SAM systems on escort ships to work incorrectly has been fixed. Previously, the center of the ship model was used to check for line-of-sight between the radar and the target, which could lead to target loss and tracking interruptions. The system now uses the radar’s actual position on the ship and missiles now correctly track targets using data from it.
-
Escort ships now engage aerial targets independently of one another and of land-based air defense missile systems. Previously, other ships would ignore a target already being engaged by a single ship or air defense system, leaving the majority of the fleet idle.
-
9M38 and 9M38M1 missiles of AI SAMs — the flight models of the missiles have been adjusted. The missile’s autopilots have been updated.
Sound
- A bug where the destructive vibration (flutter) sound would occur in the cockpit at speeds above Mach 1.3 at high altitudes on aircraft with higher maximum speeds has been fixed. This sound now correctly scales with altitude.
Graphics
-
A bug that caused the reflections in rear-view mirrors in cockpits to blink or turn black when using Vulkan graphics API has been fixed.
-
A bug that caused the game to crash on Macs with Intel GPUs when entering the premium hangar has been fixed.
Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
