6/16/25 - Erenshor Server Admin Menu (balance options)

Hello Erenshor Players!

**Since day 1, one specific question has rang throughout this community: **"Where are my quest markers and my map?"

The goal of Erenshor has always been to pay homage to EverQuest and the "old ways", but it has become more and more apparent that folks who really want to enjoy solo MMORPG gameplay are bouncing off the game due to the lack of guidance (and a huge portion of players were using the minimap mod and quest helper mod.)

Erenshor first and foremost is an "MMORPG experience that respects your time." I've always been steadfast on "you bought the game, play however you want" and in that spirit, I've left save files unencrypted and the curious user may uncover some Developer Commands in the game too.

Now, in addition to that, I've introduced a new options menu: "The Server Admin Panel"

In this options menu, accessible only from the login screen you can adjust the following game settings to your liking:

• Minimap

• Quest Markers

• Server XP rate

• Server NPC HP scaling

• Server NPC Damage Scaling

• Server Rare Loot drop rate

There are pre-set configurations to choose from as well:

• Recommended: No map, no quest markers, 1x to all scaling options

• Challenge: No map, no quest markers, 1x XP, 2x NPC HP, 1.5x NPC Damage, 1x Loot rate

• Causal: Map enabled, Quest Markers enabled, 1.5x XP, 1x NPC HP, 1x NPC Damage, 1.5x Loot rate

• Extended: Map enabled, no quest markers, .5x XP modifier, 2.5x NPC HP modifer, 1x NPC Damage modifier, .8x Loot drop rate

You can adjust the difficulty as much as you want, including up to 5x NPC HP, 5x NPC Damage (lol you'll die), 5x XP gain, and 5x Loot rate.

**The game will always be balanced around the RECOMMENDED settings. **
