🎒 Backpack Battles 1.0 is Coming June 13th!! 🎒

Hi everyone - Big news today!

We have been working away behind the scenes and can’t wait to show you what we have been doing:

Here’s the trailer!

Backpack Battles will finally hit version 1.0 on June 13th, with 2 whole new characters as well as items for the 4 existing classes.

We will leave some surprises open for when you can actually play it, but here are some details: The two new classes are the Mage and the Adventurer.

The Mage is a bit more complex than the previous classes, with a focus on interesting patterns and buff management.

If you feel like even more puzzling you can choose the Puzzlebox, to place tetrimino-shaped bags. They have a ton of cool Mage-y stuff like wands, spell scrolls, spell books etc, but you best discover them for yourself ;)

The Adventurer is themed around variety and variance. Her main loadout, the Bag of Giving, works a bit like a combination of Rainbow Badge and Present: It lets you access other classes’ items and generate them randomly. It’s pretty wild, and we hope you will love it as much as we do!

There is of course a more tame alternative with her other loadout, which focuses more on tying neutral items together with Twine.

They both will have a full set of items from the start with 5 subclasses, class-specific skills, and a nice set of class items.

There will also be a lot of quality-of-life improvements and polish, but you will see those for yourself soon!

And there is another thing to celebrate: We have hit 1,000,000 sold copies of Backpack Battles. It’s still so hard to comprehend so many of you are playing our game, thanks y’all! ❤
