Huntdown: Overtime Roadmap
The Roadmap is here, Bounty Hunters!
It’s finally time to reveal the roadmap for Huntdown: Overtime! This will take us all the way to 1.0, split into three major updates. There will also be smaller patches along the way. Thank you for your patience up until this point, the best is yet to come!
The Loadout Update - Q4 2026
The first major update will rework weapon progression. We’ve seen your wishes to be able to choose weapons freely at the start of your hunt, as well as upgrade a weapon throughout a hunt to keep it strong. This update will address these issues.
Finding and buying weapon certifications (previously “licenses”) will now add that weapon to your collection, allowing you to pick that weapon to start any future hunt with. We hope this makes it fun to collect and experiment with all kinds of weapons! In addition, every weapon has an experience gauge that will give it a permanent damage boost when maxed out. Try to boost all weapons for full completion!
As for keeping a weapon strong throughout a hunt, this update will allow you to level up equipped weapons as much as you can afford. This means it can be viable to keep your chosen starting weapon all the way to the end. That said, buying new weapons from the weapon shop might be the cheaper option.
Welcome to the Jungle - Q1 2027
Going into 2027, we’ll give you access to the third area of the game: Evergreen Resort. This environment is a mixture of overgrown forest and high-tech prison complexes. The Warlords occupying this area will attack with new types of weapons, and the major bounties are more formidable than anything you’ve seen before.
This patch will not include Evergreen Resort in its entirety; some boss fights and other content will be added later on and some visuals will be unpolished. Still, we hope you enjoy your trip to this prison island and all the surprises that await. We are also planning an option to make an area quicker to get through after completing it once.
The Final Contract - Q2 2027
Finally, we’re planning to release the 1.0 update in Q2 2027. This update will contain the remaining parts of Evergreen Resort. However, the main attraction will be what lies beyond — the final chapter to conclude John Sawyer’s journey in Huntdown: Overtime. The specifics will be kept secret, to not spoil how it all ends. In any case, we hope you stick with us all the way to be part of this grand finale!
