Update 1.005
Hello, pilots!
Today, we’re bringing you update 1.005. In this version, we’ve improved AI behavior in air combat, introduced a wingman behavior setting, and added a MiG-15 training mission. We’ve also fixed issues affecting aircraft, missions, and multiplayer, improved cockpit lighting and visual effects, and updated the game’s protection system.
AI AND AUTOPILOT
-
Added an AI wingmen behavior option to the Game section of Settings. By default, wingmen follow the mission scenario until they receive a command from the player. With the alternative setting selected, they remain in formation with the player until ordered otherwise.
-
Improved target prioritization during air combat.
-
Improved AI maneuver selection and aiming during head-on attacks.
-
Improved selection of evasive maneuvers when under attack.
-
Fixed control surface jitter on AI-controlled aircraft during air combat.
-
Fixed several issues that could cause the autopilot to stop working after being switched on and off repeatedly.
-
Fixed taxiing for piston-engine aircraft at K-19 Haeju airfield.
MISSIONS AND TRAINING
-
Added a MiG-15 training mission: “Exercise 1 — Orbiting.”

Fixed an issue in Strategic Object Cover missions where the mission could be marked as failed despite all objectives being completed.
AIRCRAFT AND GROUND VEHICLES

Fixed jet engines sometimes shutting down after a time skip involving a significant change in altitude.
-
IL-10: fixed an issue that prevented the engine from starting with the Fuel System Helper disabled and the fuel shutoff valve open.

-
Reduced the severity of collisions between aircraft wheels and airfield lights.
-
Fixed the sinking physics of vehicles that entered the water upside down.
-
Fixed collision physics for tracked vehicles, including the IS-2, ISU-122, M19, M46, and M6 Tractor.
-
Added a new AI-controlled object: a pontoon boat.
-
Il-10 — corrected the phosphorescent illumination of cockpit labels and instrument scales.
MULTIPLAYER
-
Fixed an issue that could cause AI-controlled aircraft in large formations to stop responding to mission commands.
-
Removed incorrect mud effects and wheel tracks when AI-controlled vehicles travel on concrete.
CONTROLS
- Changed the default key binding for toggling navigation lights from Win + L to LShift + L to avoid a conflict with a Windows system shortcut. This binding is applied automatically on a fresh installation. If you are updating an existing installation, you need to change the binding manually.
