PATCH NOTE: TUNING UPDATE

Hey Driver!

You've rebuilt them. You've repaired them. You've scrubbed the rust off them. Now it's time to make them yours.

The Tuning Update is here, and it brings a brand-new circuit, drifting, two new vehicles, tuning kits and rims, free object attachment, graffiti, and a photo mode to show it all off. Buckle up, let's take a lap.

The Circuit

Meet the 52' Driften Nuggets Circuit, a brand-new POI built for people who think roads are way too straight.

The circuit comes with its own garage. Drive in, tweak your build, and head straight back to the track. No more towing your project car across half the map for a single adjustment.

Drift

Remember when we told you to slow down a little, crazy driver? Forget we said that. On the circuit, sideways is the right way. Since the physics rework, rear ends slide out more naturally. The circuit is where that finally gets a proper playground. And this time, it counts. A dedicated drift scoring interface rates every slide, so you'll know exactly how sideways you really were. No more arguing with your friends about who held it longer. Line it up, pull the handbrake, hold the slide. And if you end up in the tire wall, that's called practice. The circuit also comes with its own leaderboard. Yes, your friends will see it. Choose your line wisely.

Two New Vehicles

*Two new faces just rolled into the lineup: the Kaiju G54 and the Rotor GT7!

  • Kaiju G54: a style like no other. That square steering wheel? Iconic. That engine sound? Even more. You'll hear it coming long before you see it.
1 / 1 · 100%
  • Rotor GT7: its dashboard isn't just for show: the engine temperature and oil indicators are fully functional. Keep an eye on them. Your engine certainly will.
1 / 1 · 100%

Their parts can be found in the world, in loot, and in the RS Store. And like every vehicle in DBH, every part can be removed, swapped, and fitted elsewhere. Remember those ~800 compatibility combinations? That number just went up. Pray for our QA.

Tuning Kits & Rims

1 / 1 · 100%

This is the heart of the update. 8 tuning kits are now available**, with bumpers, grilles, hood scoops, fender flares, sideskirts, roof attachments, mirrors, shifters, and handbrakes. Availability varies by vehicle.** Find the part, fit it, done.

Then there are the wheels. New rims and tires join the tuning catalogue. And under the hood sits an animated supercharger. Watching it spin won't make you faster, but you'll do it anyway.** **

Graffiti

Bare walls are boring. You can now paint graffiti in your Garage and at the circuit. ** **Changed your mind? **Grab a sponge and scrub it off. **We won't tell anyone about your first attempt.

Photo Mode

1 / 1 · 100%

You spent hours on that build. It deserves better than a screenshot with your HUD in the corner. Enter Photo mode. Angles, framing, lighting, mood: if you can imagine the shot, you can take it. Golden hour at the circuit, a mid-drift freeze frame, your graffiti in the background... Go wild.

If it fits, it sticks!

Why stop at car parts? You can now freely attach objects anywhere on your vehicles and position them just the way you want. Keep it practical, get creative, or turn your car into something that probably shouldn't be on the road. Your build. Your rules.

Share your best shots on Discord and in the Steam Community Hub. We'll be watching, and probably stealing a few for our next patch note.

Also in This Update

Please, read this

The game is still in Early Access. You may encounter performance issues, bugs, or crashes. This is a normal part of development, and your feedback plays a key role in helping us improve the experience.

That said, some early technical decisions led to challenges we hadn’t fully anticipated.

As a reminder, part of the team is still actively supporting the current public and beta versions of the game, bringing updates, content, and optimizations, while another part is working in parallel on rebuilding core systems.

This includes developing a new version of the game from scratch using Unreal Engine 5.7 (or a later version). We’ll transition to this new version once it meets our quality standards. We’ll share more details about this in a dedicated update.

How to report a bug

If you encounter any issue, please submit a bug report with as much detail as possible (steps to reproduce, screenshots/videos, logs if available). Please submit one report per issue. 👉 https://app.betahub.io/invitations/bc124c9efcc67871

A huge thank you to our beta testers, who broke the Tuning Update so you didn't have to. Keep driving, keep tuning, and keep sending us your wildest builds!
