Dead Weight Development Update

Hi there, pirates! We have some news for you!

Release Window

You might've noticed that Q1 2026 is about to end, and we still haven't said anything about the release date. Well, planning things has always been our greatest weakness.

After careful consideration and multiple consultations with our colleagues from other studios, we have concluded that the current version of the game needs more polishing. That's why we decided to take more time to make the game even better!

Mainly we are focusing on numerous UI/UX issues and character balancing. We expect that it won't take much time, so **the new release window will be Q2 2026. **

We are extremely grateful for your never-ending support on this journey and promise to deliver the game in Q2 without any further rescheduling.

Demo Update

We have updated the demo and made it accessible to everyone! Now it even has its own Steam page where we encourage you to leave your reviews.

In this demo you can find the same version that was once in our separate Prologue. It was a small experiment that has now ended. The Prologue page will go offline by the start of the next week.

New Playtest Is Underway

So a few months ago we launched our "final playtest". It wasn't so final after all... Once again, we are asking for your help.

In a few hours after this post goes live, we will update the playtest with some new content, including

• **The second playable character, Berry **

• The second region (it will be added once we get enough info on Berry).

So hop on the playtest, check out Berry, and don't forget to leave your feedback in the feedback form to get access to the new region faster. Thank you!
