Hello Ascenders,

Thank you for participating in the limited-time demo! We got a lot of great insights (which we plan on sharing sometime soon!) and feel even more confident that Ascend to ZERO is heading in a great direction. If you haven't had a chance already, we would always love to hear your feedback about the updated demo on our Steam community section, in our Discord, or even in the comment section of this notice!

End of Demo - What does this mean?

With that being said and the limited-time demo now closed, the demo may come back at a later date, so it is not necessary to delete your files (unless you want to). We are not sure when it will come back and what changes it may or may not have, but rest assured that the Ascend to ZERO team is going to be hard at work on making sure the game is ready for launch later this year!

We would like to remind players that for those of you who have unlocked the Next Fest Event reward to please not delete your save file. Deleting the save file can make it extremely difficult to deliver the reward at launch.

Official Launch: July 13, 2026

Speaking of launch - yes, Ascend to ZERO is launching on July 13 2026. We are excited that the announcement was well received and we hope to provide development updates along the way to launch!

Community Events

Winners will be announced on Discord next week! It was awesome to see players completely smash the level thresholds that we set out in the event. If you have screenshots of what level you reached, feel free to share them.

In the future if the demo is back up, we may consider running more events like this for similar rewards (so don't feel like you missed out!). If you have any ideas or suggestions on what kind of events you want to see, please feel free to let us know!

Going Forward

We truly hope you enjoyed this version of the demo that was essentially a result of all of the great feedback we got through our open playtest. We feel like this is the best version of Ascend to ZERO that has come out so far, so please continue to give us feedback to help us shape the future of the game!
