Star Birds has officially passed 3,000 Steam Reviews.

We want to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your support along the way. As a small indie development team, it genuinely means a lot to us. Reviews make a real difference for a game like Star Birds and help a small team like ours get seen on Steam.

If you’re enjoying the game, leaving a positive review is one of the most helpful ways you can support us.

A Lot Has Changed

Maybe you played Star Birds during the Early Access release and haven’t checked in for some time. Phew... where to begin? Quite a lot has happened over the last twelve months.

We’re getting closer and closer to 1.0, and Star Birds now has 14½ levels, lava, aliens, antimatter, and a whole bunch of things that definitely weren’t on our list when we started out. Thanks to you, our community!

That makes it all the more exciting to see new reviews trickle in. Keeping the review section up to date means that people discovering Star Birds get a better idea of what the game actually looks like today, including Free Play Mode, the Wigglers, the Spider Ducks, electricity, temperature regulation, alien plants, food production and everything that has been added throughout Early Access.

Community Voices

Let us share a few recent reviews that made us smile while also giving us a pretty good idea of what’s working well for you:

Admittedly, the tutorial levels start off pretty soft and relaxed. But things do build up from there. And we’re currently working on some massive space technology for the grand finale. The real big stuff!

The pipes are definitely here to stay. They’re where this whole game started, after all. But with the Resource Filter, we hope we’ve made at least some of the space spaghetti a little neater and tidier.

“I HATE CABLES[...] I want make everything "WiFi"” — POMA, 71.1 hours played

With over 70 hours played, we feel you, POMA. Let’s just say the WiFi idea has made our brains tick. We think there might be something for you in the final levels. No spoilers, though! ✌️

And then there’s always the big question of how to describe Star Birds to potential new players. We’ve had a surprisingly hard time finding good comparisons to other games. But reviewers here on Steam seem to have no such problem, and we had a lot of fun reading these:
