In 1991, Sid Meier and his team shipped a new game that challenged players to build civilizations which could stand the test of time. In the 35 years since, millions more players have founded and led countless empires that reshaped world history in their image.

To mark the occasion, in addition to plenty of other exciting announcements fans won't want to miss, *Civilization VII is available to play for free on Steam starting this weekend, from September 3 at 10AM PT to September 10 at 10AM PT.
