Fireside Feelings is free to keep for three days!
October 10th is World Mental Health Day.
To be honest, we don't usually pay much attention to all those international awareness days. But there's one that really means a lot to us, and it's this one.
Fireside Feelings is the very first game we made as a studio. And it's a pretty unusual one.
We can't even begin to tell you how many doors were slammed in our faces while trying to get this game funded. A game that, deep down, we simply needed to make.
We needed to create a space for empathy between strangers.
We were convinced that if social media was so toxic, it was largely because it was designed to be that way. So we wanted to try something different. To create a space where the goal wasn't to convince someone else, to be right, or to win an argument.
But simply to ask ourselves questions. To take the time to really think about them. And then to listen to what others had to share.
A little space where we could try to understand each other, rather than convince each other.
And let's be real: Fireside Feelings hasn't been a financial success.
But it has been a human success.
An incredible, wonderful, absolutely beautiful human success.
We've received so many heartfelt messages at the studio. Messages from people telling us that Fireside Feelings was the right game at the right time. That it helped them feel a little better, catch their breath, take care of themselves, or simply feel a little less alone.
You have no idea how many times we've cried reading your messages.
And honestly, for that alone, we'd do it all over again.
Even the struggles. Even the legal battle we had to fight to get the rights to our own game back. But today, those rights are finally ours!
And that means we can finally make a decision that feels true to who we are:
For three days, Fireside Feelings will be completely free to keep.
Not a demo. Not a free trial. If you click "Add to Account" during those three days, the game will stay in your library forever.
Because deep down, Fireside Feelings was never really about money for us.
It was about supporting each other. About listening. About human connection.
And if this little game can still bring some comfort to a few more people, then we want to give it every chance to find them.
Of course, if you grab the game, enjoy it, find some comfort in it, and feel like supporting us in return, there's one thing that would mean the world to us: **wishlisting our next game, **The Granny Detective Society.
Wishlists are incredibly important for the launch of an indie game. And for a tiny two-person studio like ours, every single wishlist really does make a difference.
But more than anything, we hope Fireside Feelings finds a place in your lives, just as it has found its place in ours.
We hope to see you all around the campfire, alongside Sparkle.
