9/30/26 - Waste Walkers FREE Content Update 2.3.1! (New Activity)

Waste Walkers

Well, Corrosive Studios just turned 12 years old on the 20th of September, and I realized that it's been a bit since I did any free updates on my first game, Waste Walkers. So, I wanted to do a little something special for the game that started it all for me. Yes, even after all these years, I still care about, support, and update even my oldest game!

This update adds a new minor activity that can help with progression and also give you new goals while you're out there, walking through the wastes!

Each colony now has two items that they need and will pay full price for and it will also award EXP to your entire party whenever you bring these items. For example, New Veil needs scrap metal and nails, Free Haven needs blankets and books, and Safe Hold needs toilet paper and batteries. A weird final combo, indeed. ;-)

You can find the new content inside each of the colonies by talking to the new Scav Brokers.

To go with this change and to make it make sense in the game, the traders in each of the colonies now no longer sell the two specific items that they need. So, the trader in New Veil will not sell scrap metal or nails anymore. I've also added some new dialogue about why the colonies need those specific resources.

Update 2.3.1 Change Log:

Changes: -Added Scav Brokers to each colony (Interact with them and trade them for their required resources for money and exp) -Updated shop lists of each colony trader to reflect the needed resources -Added some new world building/lore dialogues -Added new Scav Broker NPC sprites

This update will be available shortly!

A friendly reminder: if you're enjoying the game or have ideas you'd like to share, please consider leaving a review for the game. This not only helps with much needed visibility, but also gives me important feedback for the game to help it become better over time and also I can put this feedback into my future games! Also, if you have questions, concerns, or requests, please visit the official Waste Walkers Steam Forums or join the official Discord Channel!
