Recap of the talk
Q: What’s coming with the new patch?
A: New map: Black Tide Cove – mainly designed as Guild content. No ticket is required once you meet the required condition.
Q: Can I attack my Guild members on the new map?
A: No. Players from the same Guild cannot damage each other on the new map.
Q: Are there new weapons, armor or class changes?
A: No, not with this patch. Class balancing is planned for later.
Q: What’s changing with Player Shops?
A: Shops will no longer be time-limited, licenses are removed, and additional shop slots can be bought with Gelt. You’ll also receive an in-game mail when something is sold. The Gelt transaction limit is being increased.
Q: Will offline shops be possible?
A: Not for now. This is technically difficult due to how player inventories work.
Q: Any changes to the Gelt economy?
A: Yes. A tax on sold items is being introduced to remove Gelt from the game. More ways to spend Gelt are planned for the future.
Q: Will the game become less P2W?
A: The team acknowledges that the game has become too P2W. As a first step, there will be ways to obtain certain previously cash-exclusive items without AP. It obviously won’t be as easy as buying them from the Cash Mall.
Q: Which bugs are being fixed?
A: Permanent movespeed buff with riding pets and being able to move during Thorn Trunk should be fixed with Patch 2.6. A bunch of other fixes are also planned.
Q: Is there new Sea content?
A: Yes, new Lv. 35–45 Sea Quests are coming. More Sea content and continuation of the story are planned.
Q: What about PvP?
A: More dedicated PvP content is planned, but there are no specific details yet.
Q: Will parties/raids support more than 6 players?
A: Not yet. Larger parties and a raid system are being investigated.
Q: What about Essences?
A: The Essence system is planned for a larger rework in the future. Additional Essence drops/rewards are therefore not a priority right now. The general item drop system is also being looked at.
Q: Any news on UI resizing?
A: Unfortunately not yet. The team is aware of it, but UI changes are technically very time-consuming.
Q: Can PvE/Solo players access the new map?
A: Black Tide Cove is currently mainly designed around Guild content, so solo/PvE players without a Guild will have a harder time accessing it. The team will adjust things based on feedback after release.
This TL;DR was made courtesy of a community member, thanks a lot!
Until next time, Florensians!
