The Next Faction & Content Update 7

Dear Friends! September 1st marks the anniversary of the invasion of Poland and the beginning of the Second World War in Europe. With that in mind, today is a fitting day to reveal the next faction coming to Call to Arms - Gates of Hell.

It has been a while since we’ve shared a broader look at what’s coming, so alongside today’s reveal, we also want to give you a high-level overview of some of the major work currently underway.

Poland is being developed alongside Content Update 7, a major free update that will bring substantial changes and improvements to the game.

Content Update 7

CU7 includes major work in several areas, and we want to introduce two of them today.

Ostfront Environments

Poland's development has given us an opportunity to revisit parts of the original Ostfront content.

Poland makes extensive use of Ostfront environment assets. Since the release of the base game, Gates of Hell's visual standard has continued to evolve through our newer DLCs. As part of CU7, we're updating many of these Ostfront environment assets to bring them up to that newer visual standard.

Conquest

Content Update 7 will also bring one of our largest updates yet to Conquest, our dynamic campaign game mode.

We have continued to expand and improve Conquest over the years, and CU7 will be another major step in that ongoing development.

For now, we’re only touching on the bigger changes. We’ll cover both the Ostfront environment updates and Conquest in more detail in future development blogs.

Content Update 7 will be completely free for all players.
