Your Quest For Free

Your Quest is being made "Free" to play... no mico-transactions involved, just plain and simple Free.

In case anyone is wondering why I've decided to make the game Free: Since Your Quest was released, I've been approached by dozens of people who run 'giveaway' sites asking for keys to giveaway to their communities to "promote" the game. I had no plans for promoting the game, so it seemed harmless giving some keys away here and there... untill I looked at the stats...

Retail Activations: 30k+ Copies Sold: 590

While it's certainly not in the realm of AAA title figures, the comparison is still staggering for an indie developer such as myself. I could reduce the price to $1 and sell a few more copies a year, but the numbers clearly show there's more interest in the game being free. So, if making it freely available means more people get to enjoy this little game I made, then that makes me happy :)

It's a learning experience, like everything else in life.
