The way into Terracrypt is about to open, revealing a vast subterranean world filled with unfamiliar biomes, strange new creatures, hidden survival technologies, and formidable bosses waiting in the dark.

Before you light a torch and begin the descent, here is everything you need to know about the release, launch offers, multiplayer, transfers, and what awaits below.

1. When can I descend into Terracrypt, and where can I get it?

PixARK: Terracrypt launches on Steam at:

● August 26 at 6:00 p.m. PDT

● August 26 at 9:00 p.m. EDT

● August 27 at 1:00 a.m. UTC

● August 27 at 9:00 a.m. Beijing Time

The DLC has a regular price of $9.99, with a 10% launch discount bringing it down to $8.99.

2. What launch deals are waiting at the entrance?

Quite a few—and this will be the best time yet to begin a PixARK adventure.

● Terracrypt DLC: 10% off, reduced from $9.99 to $8.99

● PixARK base game: 75% off, reduced from $19.99 to approximately $4.99

● PixARK + Terracrypt bundle: An additional 10% bundle discount, bringing the combined launch price to approximately $12.58

● Free Weekend: Play the PixARK base game for free from August 26 through August 31

The 75% base-game discount is the largest discount in PixARK’s history, surpassing its previous record of 57% off.

3. I have never played PixARK. Can I still begin with Terracrypt?

Absolutely.

You will need the PixARK base game to access the DLC, but no previous experience is required. Terracrypt has been designed to welcome new adventurers rather than throw them into the dark without direction.

For the first time in PixARK, a guided main storyline will lead you through the adventure and introduce the game’s systems naturally as you explore.

We have also improved mounts, revival dolls, chest detection, and several other features, making exploration, progression, and inventory management smoother from the very beginning.

4. Just how much is hiding underground?

More than you might expect.

Terracrypt is the largest content expansion ever released for PixARK, featuring:

● Three expansive underground layers

● 13 distinctive subterranean biomes

● 65 underground-exclusive creatures

● 11 bosses

● A complete main storyline

● A wide range of new underground survival technologies

Because PixARK is a sandbox survival game, every adventurer will explore at a different pace. Based on our internal testing, however, a solo journey through the full storyline and survival progression is conservatively estimated to take more than 200 hours.

There is a great deal waiting beneath the surface—and you will not uncover it all in a single expedition.

5. Will my PC be ready for the descent?

The minimum system requirements are:

● Operating system: Windows 7, 8.1, or 10, 64-bit

● Processor: Intel Core i5-2400 or AMD FX-8320 or better

● Memory: 4 GB RAM

● Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 660 2 GB or AMD Radeon HD 7870 2 GB or better

● DirectX: Version 10

● System type: 64-bit processor and operating system

We recommend keeping at least 30 GB of free storage space available for the DLC update.

6. How do I enter Terracrypt after purchasing the DLC?

Once the DLC is installed, open the map-selection screen and choose the Terracrypt DLC map.

Select it, begin your journey, and leave the surface behind.

7. Can I brave the depths alone, or bring a crew? What about official PvP?

Terracrypt supports both single-player and multiplayer, using the same multiplayer systems as the PixARK base game.

You can explore the underground alone, build a settlement with friends, or gather a full expedition before facing the dangers below.

Official PvP servers will not be available during the initial launch period.

We know that many adventurers are eager to take the fight underground, but launching a strong PvP experience requires more than simply switching on additional servers. It demands reliable anti-cheat measures, careful balancing, and the ability to respond quickly to exploits and other issues.

Rather than open PvP before we can support it properly, we are focusing our launch resources on server stability and a smooth overall experience for everyone entering Terracrypt.

We will revisit official PvP servers in the future when we can give the mode the attention it deserves.

8. Can I bring my existing character, creatures, and supplies into Terracrypt?

Not immediately.

Cross-server transfers will be temporarily unavailable during the initial launch period to help keep the new servers stable. This means that existing characters, creatures, and resources from the base game cannot initially be transferred into Terracrypt.

We will publish a separate announcement as soon as cross-server transfers are ready to open.

9. Is the launch the end of the tunnel—or only the beginning?

Only the beginning.

After Terracrypt launches, we will gradually reveal our plans for future updates. Keep an eye on our Steam announcements to discover what lies ahead.
