Set out on a new adventure in the Valley of Kings in an ancient Egypt-inspired setting and discover the source of the screeches at night...

Kingdom Two Crowns: Pharaoh Lands features:

Desert lands of opportunity: Explore an awe-inspiring setting with grand sandstone monuments and pyramids. Deliver your people through hardships, prepare for the harsh environments, and find refuge along the great river.

Gods among people: Encounter manifestations of the great power such as the temple of Ra or harness the power of Anubis. Through cunning and courage, discover the true intent of the chaos and journey to its source.

Treasures and mythical creatures: Uncover secrets of places of power, solve riddles to find powerful artifacts... or mounts like large scorpions, crocodiles, and great black cats to aid you on your travels ahead.

New threats lurking in the dark: Tread carefully as the enemies of these lands will prove to be a different challenge than you are used to. Expand your strategic options with a new troop type to defend your Kingdom.

Here is a word from the Design Director of Pharaoh Lands, Tim:

Initially, when we set out on the journey that would eventually become Pharaoh Lands, we considered several settings. However, it quite quickly became clear that Ancient Egypt was such a rich source of inspiration that we had to go there. With more than 5,000 years of history on its own, including gods, deities and mythical creatures, we knew this would be a very special setting for a very special DLC.

My idea was to have a few well-known gods in there but to also tap into some things that may be less known. For instance, I’ve read up on various stories and connections each god had with others and soon it was clear that we could use a god (or two) as inspiration for each island our new Monarch would visit. We made sure there would be what we considered “Greed-aligned" gods as well as those who would oppose them.

I've also set specific design pillars to take inspiration from the whole Kingdom Two Crowns series. This will be felt by the blend of experience from the most recent Call of Olympus DLC and the previous DLCs and their unique gameplay aspects. The idea I had was also to expand on certain areas and at the top of my list was the player agency. This is where the new banner system comes in - allowing players to use a combination of “divine items” and mount types to determine which units to take out for exploration, and how it affects them - we will show more of that soon!

We have introduced a new enemy lurking in the trees, changing slightly the dynamic in the day, and we have a new unit that mixes things up a little too without taking away from existing ones.

Lastly, for the first time we’re trying something new by giving players a choice which has some implications and consequences. However, I would like not to say too much on this at the time as I want to remain true to the Kingdom series and encourage exploration and experimentation.

Me and the team have had so much fun creating Pharaoh Lands and we really couldn’t be more excited to see it in the players’ hands. We’re looking forward to you uncovering the secrets!
