Backstory

 

Crumbly came to life when a dwarf accidentally triggered a runic pattern while arranging a collection of "special" pebbles engraved with highly suggestive figures. This accidental ritual birthed a gargoyle with a magical soul, albeit an incomplete one. The dwarf named him and mined for Crumbly’s missing pieces until his final breath, recovering only a few fragments of the full set. Now alone, Crumbly flies on a quest to feel whole. Haunted by his fragmented form, he tries to "fix" himself with crude stone prosthetics, but his magic rejects these hollow additions. In battle, he is a reckless runic juggernaut, turning his incompleteness into a weapon, pulverizing foes, neglecting his own safety - viewing his granite body with the desperate disregard of someone who believes he is already beyond repair.
