Dragonfire is Live!

The skies of Albion will never be the same. Dragonfire is here, opening the way to a realm lost for millennia and unleashing the Dragons that once ruled above it. Venture beyond the clouds into the Ancient Lands, confront these ancient creatures as they descend upon Albion, and gather your strongest allies for the greatest PvE challenge the game has seen yet.

A World Beyond the Clouds

The Ashborn’s ritual has opened portals across Albion, revealing the Ancient Lands: a shattered realm of floating islands where ancient Keeper ruins stand amid wild, magical landscapes. Portals support different party sizes, from solo adventurers to groups of up to 20, with similarly sized parties matched together as they enter.

Complete island objectives and use Keystones to activate Leygates, opening new routes deeper into the region. Every path brings greater rewards, but also a higher chance of encountering rival groups. Hunt powerful Drakes, push toward the Fire Drake at the center, and search for valuable treasures including Spirit Waystones that open the way to Dragonfire’s ultimate challenge.

Dragons Have Awakened

With a Spirit Waystone, a 20-player party can enter the Dragon Sanctuary, a pure PvE raid dungeon built for Albion’s strongest equipment and optimized group compositions. Fight through Fire Drakes and formidable Ashborn enemies before reaching Azaryon, the Fire Dragon, whose devastating attacks make this Albion’s most demanding PvE encounter to date.

But Dragons are not confined to the lands above. Dragon Attacks can erupt across the Royal Continent with little warning, drawing nearby adventurers into large-scale battles against these ancient beasts. In the Outlands, attacks are announced in advance, giving guilds time to assemble their forces, and giving rivals the opportunity to contest the fight and its rewards.

Train Your Dragon

Those who survive Dragonfire’s greatest threats can turn their victories into entirely new forms of power. Dragon Scales can be crafted into a new Dragonslayer armor set, while the Ancient Lands hold additional ingredients for new food and potions. And by deepening your Draconic Insight, you can unlock the exclusive Ancient Mystic vanity set to show what you’ve accomplished among the Dragons.

The rarest prize awaits those who defeat Azaryon: a Fire Drake Egg. Bring one home, raise it with care – and other mounts – and it can eventually grow into your own Firewing Drake. And there’s still more to conquer, with new Albion Journal missions, Guild Challenges, and Lore Fragments rewarding those who push deeper into Albion’s draconic mysteries.

Celebrate the launch with free rewards! A free gift is now waiting for you in the Albion Online Web Shop and native store until September 7, 10 UTC. And until September 14 at 09:30 UTC, participating Albion Online Twitch streams offer Double Twitch Drops, with both regular and Noble Drops available at twice their usual rate. The Noble Drops pool also gains a new item: Flamescale, a fiery new Swiftclaw skin surrounded by flames and looking decidedly unhappy about it.

A fresh Wehype Community Rewards campaign will also run throughout September, offering a new selection of monthly rewards through participating creators. The Royal Hunt starts now too, sending creators into six weeks of Dragon-slaying challenges with community giveaways on the line, including real silver Dragon Coins.
