2026 Long Term Support Update

Hi, we have pushed a new build with updates and fixes that should make the game playable and suported well into the 2030s.

• shader-side sRGB encode for gamma correction: this should make the AMD Fix mod unnecessary from now on

• script-appropriate font substitution for Courier: fixes the crash with Chinese script in the Ardennes 44 DLC campaign cinematic

• fix: ruined cities render correctly after loading a saved game

• workshop mods load without connectivity: fixes workshop access for players based in China

• Spanish security unit correctly set in Ardennes 44 DLC

• controller options pane translated

• main screen news window

Please report if you're seeing any issues - given the wider player base there's bound to be some. This is how you send a report:

If you're having issues with the game not starting: please try adding an exception to your antivirus software first. With a completely new build, some AV packages inevitably falsely flag it as problematic, unfortunately.

If you want to keep the old build

Switch to the "legacy_2026" branch: go to your Steam Library, right-click the game and select 'Properties'. Click on the 'Game Versions & Betas' tab and from the drop-down menu select 'legacy_2026 - Branch with an older version, from September 2026'.
