NavalArt update V1.41 - Audiovisual Upgrade
Foreword
In Version 1.41, NavalArt undergoes yet another major transformation.
In this update, we have developed a brand-new sound system for naval gunnery, redesigned shell trajectories, and introduced ripple firing mechanics, significantly enhancing the overall combat experience.
The new weather system allows players to experience more intense thunderstorms, while snowy conditions offer a unique atmosphere. Continuous improvements to visual effects have also greatly improved graphical fidelity, particularly during morning and evening periods.
A substantial part update remains a monthly staple. In this version, the total part count has increased from 1,223 to 1,362. A large number of highly requested decorative parts are now available to help you further polish your creations.
Please see the detailed log below for all the changes in this update!

Shell Whistling: Added whistling sounds for incoming shells based on their direction, distance, and velocity.
-
UI Audio: Added specific sound effects for toggling sights and adjusting magnification (Zoom).
-
Multi-Gun Logic: Introduced sound delay and volume attenuation for mounts with multiple barrels.

-
Optimized existing sound priorities and durations to reduce audio "drop-outs" caused by exceeding track limits.
-
Disabled firing sounds beyond maximum audible range to reduce channel occupancy.
-
-
New Environmental Audio:
-
Added ship bow-wave (wake) sounds.
-
Added hull water-entry (impact) sounds.
-
Added variable engine sounds based on power output.
-
Added camera "whizzing" sounds when tracking high-speed objects in combat.
-
Added canyon echoes for the Sea Trial map.
-
-
Fix: Resolved an issue where ship engine volume was not affected by game settings.

General Improvements
-
Physics Refinement: Significantly improved physics for small vessels, resolving issues such as "infinite bouncing," excessive elasticity when falling vertically into water, and abnormal physics behavior when airborne, while maintaining the original handling feel.
-
Added hull-to-water slamming resistance.
-
Increased lift for small craft at high speeds.
-
-
Reworked Visuals: Completely overhauled shell splash particle effects.
-
Lunar Effects: Added a new moon system with phases synced to local time.
-
Atmosphere Fixes: Fixed a bug where cloud animations would spontaneously snap/jump.
-
Dynamic Particles: * Bow waves now scale based on the ship's draft.
-
Adjusted bow spray and all water splash particles (impacts, torpedo wakes).
-
Added an emission limit for bow spray particles per frame to prevent stuttering during storms.
-
Added propeller-driven water spray.
-
-
Visual Tweaks: * Reworked funnel smoke effects.
-
Adjusted global color grading.
-
Disabled lens flare for the moon.
-
-
Technical Fixes: * Optimized the near-plane of the Free Camera based on Field of View (FOV) to resolve severe Z-fighting at low FOV.
- Fixed a bug where the player list in Multiplayer would error out when exceeding 10 players.
-
Particle Optimization: Fixed a bug where distant particles appeared too dark and optimized overall particle performance.
Level Project
-
Career - QuickSortie (Beta): Provided brand-new dialogue text for Chapter 1, fixed several English localization errors, and configured weather presets.
-
Stability: Fixed a "Null" call stack crash when loading Career saves.
-
Fixes: * Resolved an issue where aircraft on disabled ships remained visible in Career levels.
-
Fixed a bug where specific technologies in QuickSortie (Beta) failed to take effect after research:
-
US 406mm/50 Mark 7
-
US 305mm/50 Mark 8
-
Italian 406mm/50 Ansaldo
-
-
-
Corrections: Fixed a description error in the level "Hunting Flagship Sovetsky Soyuz"
-
UI: Adjusted the title text style for level objectives.
-
Removed the character "Herobrine in NavalArt" from the QuickSortie (Beta)
Combat Adjustments
-
Aiming Algorithm: Improved the scope aiming algorithm; locking onto a target now provides 100% accurate vertical lead, making it easier for players to adjust vertical offsets.
-
New Shell Models: Added 9 brand-new shell models based on type and caliber.
-
Ballistic Details: Added atmospheric friction heating, spin, shockwaves, and "charring" effects to shells.
-
Shell Trails: New lighting-affected trail effects; added a fade-out for tracer trails when the camera zooms in close to the shell.
-
UI Indicators: Added a direction indicator for close-range torpedoes when they are off-screen.
-
Cinematic Tracking: Added camera tracking cessation and smooth deceleration just before shells hit the water.
-
Camera Adjustments: Adjusted the initial angle and height of the player camera in Combat Mode for a better view of the ship.
-
Dynamic UI: The player's ship is now hidden when using the scope.
-
Tracking Priority: When holding the key to follow shells, the camera now prioritizes manually fired rounds.
-
Bug Fixes: * Fixed an issue where the follow-camera height would reset in certain conditions.
- Fixed a bug where turret elevation was too low when aiming at close-range targets.
-
Combat Mechanics: * Added crosshair dispersion animations.
-
Added Ripple Firing system.
-
Changed the "Continuous Fire" toggle functionality to allow holding for ripple fire instead of a single-click salvo.
-
Underwater funnel outlets will no longer emit smoke.
-
-
Damage Mechanics: * Terminology Change: Changed the text for magazine hits from "Citadel Hit" to "Magazine Damage."
- Magazine Damage Cap: Implemented an interim cap on bonus damage from magazine hits. Extra damage is now limited to 60% of total HP to prevent one-shot kills from large HE or torpedoes. Standard structural damage is unaffected.
-
AA Balance: * Adjusted AA damage curves to increase effectiveness within optimal ranges (MAA 1x → 2.2x; LAA 1x → 3.5x).
-

Preview & Future Plans
-
We will be releasing several hotfixes shortly to address any remaining issues.Quick Battle adaptation for the weather system will also be developed in the near future.
-
Due to tight scheduling, the update for QuickSortie (Beta) Chapter 2 has been postponed. We will add 2–3 new levels in an upcoming hotfix, with the full Chapter 2 release arriving in next month's update.
-
Version 1.42: We will focus on adapting Level Missions for Multiplayer. This process is resource-intensive, so while new mechanics may be fewer, we will ensure a steady supply of new missions and parts.
-
Version 1.5: We will begin work on **Basic Anti-Submarine Warfare **and other exciting features! Stay tuned!
