Dawn of Man spirit continues

Hello Everyone!

As you might know, we are working on our next city builder.

**Planetbase 2 **will obviously take place in a completely different setting compared to Dawn of Man, but the gameplay mechanics will be heavily inspired by it, we consider this our 3rd iteration of our particular type of City Builder RTS games.

If you liked Dawn of Man, we really hope you will feel right at home in Planetbase 2.

Many features are making a comeback, in improved form.

Upgrade Tree

Planetbase 2 will feature an Upgrade Tree, divided in phases, like in DoM. The phases will be the various stages of the colony: Outpost, Settlement, Colony.* ***Each phase unlocks new techs, but also new challenges, and alters gameplay substantially.

Scan Mode

This is the new version of DoM's Primal Vision mode, it allows you to see resources (on the surface and underground) and the Heat Map (to place Geothermal Plants).

Customizable Panels

These were a hit in DoM and are making a comeback in evolved form, you use them to monitor your resources, power grid, food supply, oxygen consumption and a lot more.

Work Areas

These will work similar to DoM, they are used mostly to harvest surface resources, but also to prospect areas or to level terrain.

Direct Commands

The game will still focus heavily on automation, but sometimes micromanagement might be necessary, especially at the beginning of the game or in combat.
