Open Beta for Performance

Hello Mayors!

[p align="justify"]We have opened a new Open Beta branch on Steam featuring a few updates we would like your perspective on!

[p align="justify"]This Beta includes improvements to almost every LOD model of the base game buildings, which should improve rendering performance, especially on lower-end hardware, updates to the upscaler support (DLSS, FSR3, FSR 4, and XeSS 3), an update to the Coherent UI framework, and a new visual update adding additional texturing under roads! You can freely switch between the Open Beta version and the current live version, and save games will keep working between the two.

Please note that this update includes changes to the Virtual Texturing, which requires a full redownload of the game as it touches many base game assets!

[p align="justify"]The Open Beta will be Steam-only. To access it, follow the instructions on how to change your game version in the image below and choose the ‘performance-test’ beta option. This will start updating the game and will enable it. If you want to disable the branch, simply swap back to ‘Default Public Version’ in the same menu where you enabled it.

[p align="justify"]We would appreciate your feedback, especially on performance! If you choose to give this beta a try, please share your experience on the Paradox Forums . Let us know whether you notice any performance improvements or issues with the upscalers, and include details about your setup or any issues you encounter. This will help us understand how these changes affect the game across different systems.
