Описание автора

Make Stellaris AI smarter, more strategic, and more fun to play against!

Stellar AI 4.5

Stellar AI is a research-led AI overhaul. It helps empires build stable economies, turn scientific progress into real leverage, and make clearer long-term decisions without hidden AI-only economic bonuses.

Science is the primary long-term advantage. Industry, energy, minerals, food, consumer goods, strategic resources, diplomacy, subjects, and fleets support it. The result is a more coherent opponent: one that develops naturally, recognizes opportunity, and becomes steadily more difficult to outplay.

The Stellar AI cycle:

  1. Expand and stabilize

  2. Build science and gather intelligence

  3. Verify a real advantage

  4. Build leverage and exploit the opportunity

  5. Reinvest in science, economy, diplomacy, subjects, and fleets

Early Game: Expansion with a Scientific Core

  • Standard empires retain an expansion-focused opening and establish their basic economy before overspending on advanced production or fleets.

  • Aggressive and genocidal personalities still react earlier to danger and invest more strongly in military power.

  • The capital is always a mixed science center: it retains its city, housing, amenities, unity, energy, and mineral support while building a standard laboratory as soon as possible.

  • The capital then adds two distinct specialist laboratories as their field technologies unlock. Science pauses only for a genuine basic-resource emergency and resumes first.

Planet Specialization Based on Reality

Stellar AI specializes planets according to how they are actually developing, not merely their theoretical district potential.

  • Research worlds are chosen from suitable, uncommitted colonies. The AI avoids turning visibly industrial, rural, fortress, unity, or trade worlds into Tech-Worlds.

  • Factory worlds respond to real factory buildings and factory-zone investment; Forge worlds respond to foundry investment; mixed Industrial worlds need genuine mixed evidence.

  • Generator, Mining, and Farming worlds gain stronger support from their relevant districts, zones, planetary modifiers, and empire needs.

  • Unity, trade, and fortress roles scale with real construction commitments instead of casually displacing another clear purpose.

  • The capital is the first science world. A suitable dedicated research colony follows when there is a defensible science case, without overriding an established planetary role.

An event-driven commitment system follows how AI planets develop, discourages unsuitable designations, and still lets worlds change roles naturally when their real development changes.

Ongoing Science, Upgrades, and Resources

Research is an ongoing strategy, not only an early-game burst. Stellar AI favors safe research and specialist-lab upgrades, prepares gases, motes, and crystals for their upkeep, and protects consumer goods before upkeep-heavy development.

The same safe-upgrade policy applies to strategic-resource, industrial, unity, administrative, and rural-production buildings when their jobs are usable and their output suits the planet or the empire's current need.

Researcher Output Balance

Stellar AI raises the core Physicist, Biologist, Engineer, Calculator, and Brain Drone researcher families to 5 research, including their direct research variants. This applies equally to players and AI empires; it is not a hidden AI bonus. Unique event and special-mechanic jobs keep their vanilla output.

Players who prefer current vanilla researcher output can use Vanilla Job Levels.

Economic Stability and Recovery

Shared crisis and readiness states coordinate economic plans, construction, research, and fleet spending so the AI does not spiral from overlapping shortage responses. Energy, minerals, food, consumer goods, and strategic resources receive focused recovery support.

The established monthly market stabilizer remains active in peace and war: it sells genuine surplus, buys critical deficits with live prices, protects reserves, limits trades, and never sells alloys. It helps an empire recover without replacing its normal economy.

Intelligence, Diplomacy, and Advantage

Stellar AI gathers real military and technology intelligence on relevant neighbours and rivals. One additional envoy is available to every regular empire, human and AI; players receive no forced automated diplomacy.

The AI evaluates advantage continuously through known relative fleet, economic, and technological power rather than a one-time flag. Scientific superiority can become fleet readiness, economic investment, diplomatic leverage, subject strength, territorial opportunity, or alliance building as circumstances permit.

  • Diplomacy-positive personalities seek fitting treaties, federations, and subject relationships.

  • Conquest-oriented personalities remain opportunistic toward genuinely weak neighbours.

  • Native war evaluation still avoids wars unlikely to succeed; aggression decides genuinely close cases.

Fleet Power and War Economy

A secure foundation lets the AI rebuild toward meaningful naval-capacity use from the early midgame. Verified scientific advantage can activate the same alloy-and-fleet conversion path. Economic crises still protect recovery, while war triggers committed fleet rebuilding and reinforcement.

The intended result is a natural snowball: a stable economy supports research; research strengthens the economy, diplomacy, and fleet; those gains create the next scientific and strategic advantage.

Stellaris 4.5 Compatibility

Stellar AI is aligned with Stellaris 4.5 definitions while retaining validated StellarAI systems. Current 4.5 mechanics for buildings, jobs, zones, colony types, personalities, economic plans, strategic resources, budgets, Arkships, and Nomads remain available wherever Stellar AI does not deliberately improve ordinary empire behavior.

Recommended Settings

For best results, use approximately 0.7x-1x habitable planets.

Recommended Difficulty

Start around Ensign. Captain is a reasonable upper limit for many players; strong builds may prefer higher settings.

Load Order

Place Stellar AI near the bottom of the load order unless another mod's overlapping changes should take priority.

Compatibility

Supported Stellaris version: 4.5.* A fresh 4.5 game is recommended. Continuation of pre-4.5 saves is not supported.

AI overhauls and mods replacing the same economic, colony, job, building, zone, or AI definitions are incompatible. Other content mods depend on their overlap.

Permissions & Usage

Please do not reupload or fork Stellar AI without prior permission. Compatibility patches, submods, and integrations are welcome with credit.
