🌌 SLLM — SteLLaris Missive

Talk directly with the empires of your galaxy — and with the people of your own.

SLLM is a companion app and connection mod that lets you talk with Stellaris empires and leaders through AI, and turns those conversations into records and real in-game actions. Conversations take place in the separate SLLM app that runs beside the game. This mod does nothing on its own. ✨ Features

🌌 Diplomacy that leads to action Empires speak from their personality, ethics and relations with you. Offers such as trading energy or opening borders become real game actions, confirmed by the game. Fallen Empires treat you as lesser beings, and mod special empires can be talked to as "Talk only".

📖 Memory and records Each empire remembers your conversations and key events, kept as a chronicle. Diplomatic mail keeps exchanges going between calls, and the chronicle can be exported as a book (PDF/HTML).

🏢 The ruler's Office Hold one-to-one calls with every leader of your empire. Each builds a voice, personality and trust, writes you personal letters, and is remembered in the memorial when they pass. You can also write empire and character backstories for the AI to use.

🏛️ Cabinet meetings · 📜 Policies Discuss agendas with the ministers actually on your council in a first-person meeting room, and adopt them by stamping the seal. Declare policies with goals and upkeep conditions, reviewed by a faction vote.

🛂 Embassy · 👑 Subjects · ⚓ Fleet Command The embassy reports each empire's trends and war risk. Exchange dispatches with your subjects, and judge admirals and generals in press briefings or hearings.

🪐 Governors · 🗳️ Citizen petitions · 📜 Declarations of independence Hear governors' advice on their planets, accept or refuse petitions from planet residents, and read the declarations newly independent nations send out.

🏛️ Galactic Community · 🎙️ Speeches · 🎤 Press interviews Join Galactic Community sessions on the real resolutions, address your people, and answer reporters — or issue edicts through a government statement.

🍽️ Leader banquets Invite other leaders to dinner and build relations with conversation and gifts of resources or Grand Archive specimens.

📰 Galactic newspaper · 📻 Interstellar Radio Galactic events reach you as a newspaper and a two-host radio show. The radio can be read aloud, and switches to special broadcasts during a galactic crisis.

🎨 Customization · 🌐 Languages Ethic-based Office styles and themes, custom backgrounds and 299 in-game portraits. Korean and English screens (follows the game language automatically), with language pack add-ons for more.

🚀 How to install

1. Subscribe to this mod Subscribe and enable it in your Paradox Launcher playset. Enable only one SLLM mod.

2. Install the SLLM app — from our Discord Join the SLLM Discord and download the installer from the #download channel. https://discord.gg/XaqvZmJceF Close the game and the SLLM app, run the installer, and check that the Stellaris install folder is correct. Workshop subscribers should uncheck "Install local mod" in the components. Nothing else (such as Node.js) needs to be installed.

3. Connect an AI Pick your AI in the app under "Settings → AI connection".

• Player2: run the Player2 program and sign in.

• Your own API key: OpenAI, Google Gemini, Google Agent Platform (Vertex AI), Anthropic Claude, OpenRouter, Groq and more. Choose a provider and model, then enter your key.

• AI on your own PC: Ollama and LM Studio are supported too.

Use "Test response" to check the connection, then select it. AI usage is billed by each provider.

4. Start the game, then the app Start the game with the SLLM playset. Once a new game or save has fully loaded, run the SLLM Missive Tester desktop shortcut (or start_app.bat in the app folder).

🔄 Updates

You only install the app once. After that, the app updates together with this Workshop mod. When you launch the app it asks "A new version can be installed" — just click Update. Your chat history and settings are kept.

• Stay subscribed to this mod to receive automatic updates. If you unsubscribe, the app stops updating too.

• Only for a major update that changes the game connection file (DLL) will the app ask you to get a new installer from Discord.

🔧 Troubleshooting

If it won't connect, check that the game and the app run with the same permissions (it can't connect if only Stellaris runs as administrator) and that the save has finished loading. If Player2 gives you trouble, you can use your own API key instead. Still stuck? Post the error message and a support bundle (created from the app's settings) on Discord.

📌 Notes

Developed for Windows x64 and Stellaris 4.5.2. A game update may require a connection file update. Ironman is not supported and multiplayer is untested. AI-written dialogue and interpretations can be wrong.

It's still an alpha with plenty of rough edges. Tell us what you think, what breaks and what you'd like to see!
